Havator to cooperate with the John Nurminen Foundation

As part of its corporate responsibility programme, Havator has embarked on long-term cooperation with the John Nurminen Foundation, focusing on Baltic Sea protection. The Foundation’s work is steered by measurable results and impact.

Havator, established in 1956, is a company that provides lifting services, special transportation, and heavy haulage in Finland, Sweden, Norway and Estonia. Havator is the Nordic market leader in its field, and wants to be the one to follow also in terms of corporate responsibility. The Baltic Sea is an essential part of Nordic culture, and, consequently, also an important part of Aviator’s business environment. Even though Havator’s direct environmental impact on the Baltic Sea may be limited, the company’s value chain includes stakeholders who are in a position to make a clear difference in the status of the Baltic Sea.

“We want to build service and business models through which we can direct funds from Havator’s entire value chain to benefit the Baltic Sea. As a Nordic stakeholder, we want to cherish the Baltic Sea, which is very important to us, and what would be a better way to do this than to harness our entire stakeholder network to work for the benefit of the Baltic Sea”, says Christoffer Landtman, CEO of Havator.

“Working together with the John Nurminen Foundation it became possible for us to give funds directly to Baltic Sea protection in a way that would not be an option for us if were we working as an individual company. We are already planning our first concrete stakeholder group collaboration pilots, and we very much hope to be able to share news on them first thing next year”, continues Landtman.

“Supporting the protection of the Baltic Sea is today’s way of implementing environmental work and corporate responsibility. We are very happy to have Havator as our Nordic-level partner’, comments Erkki Salo, Fundraising Director at the John Nurminen Foundation. We implement concrete Baltic Sea protection measures that bring results, and ensure that the stories of the sea are passed on to future generations. In our work, the support we receive from companies is extremely valuable.”
