Ramboll Finland Oy gave the John Nurminen Foundation a Christmas present of €10,000

On St. Lucia’s Day, Kari Onniselkä, Managing Director, Karoliina Lehmusvirta, Marketing & Communications Director, and Annukka Lehto, Senior Communications Consultant of the engineering consultancy Ramboll Finland Oy, visited the John Nurminen Foundation with delightful greetings.  Each year, Ramboll Finland makes a sizeable monetary donation, the recipient of which is decided by the company’s staff. This year, they decided to donate €10,000 to the John Nurminen Foundation.

“Our mission is to create a society where people and nature thrive. Giving our support to saving the Baltic Sea and its heritage is for us a natural way to implement our corporate responsibility alongside our everyday project work”, says Kari Onniselkä, Managing Director of Ramboll Finland Oy.

The John Nurminen Foundation and the engineering consultancy Ramboll share many intersecting interests in the fields of building and appreciating a sustainable environment.  Ramboll is implementing exactly those concrete measures with which the Baltic Sea is protected, such as planning and constructing wastewater treatment plants and building fish passes.

‘Our Baltic Sea is unique and has a sensitive ecosystem – every one of us can influence the way it will be passed on to future generations. Our thanks go out to all the people at Ramboll; together we will save the Baltic Sea and its heritage. The donation helps us to implement concrete and impactful measures that protect the Baltic Sea, and, at the same time, to ensure that the stories of the sea will be passed on to future generations’, says Erkki Salo, Fundraising Manager at the John Nurminen Foundation.

Ramboll, established in Denmark in 1945, is a leading engineering consultancy. The company has approximately 15,000 employees. As an international corporation, Ramboll has a strong foothold in the Nordic countries, in Great Britain, North America, the Middle East, and in Asia and the Pacific.
